The course explores the intersection of leadership theory and sustainability in organizations. It examines how diverse theories and models of leadership inform the design of sustainable strategies, structures, and cultures that balance economic performance with environmental and social responsibility. Anchored in the fields of organizational behavior and design, the course investigates how leaders’ values, mindsets, and influence processes shape sustainable decision-making and long-term organizational outcomes. Real-world cases of sustainable business transformation across industries are analysed to highlight both the business case for sustainability and the leadership capabilities required to implement it. Grounded in a balance of theory and practice, the course emphasizes experiential learning and critical reflection on leadership approaches, the organizational conditions that foster sustainable change, and the development of responsible, future-oriented management practices.
