The goal of this course is to provide students with a working knowledge as well as a critical understanding of quantitative research methods used by researchers in social sciences. The basic principles that inform social science approaches to quantitative research will be discussed and applied throughout the course as the strengths and limitations of various research methods are studied. Topics include: descriptive  statistics, inferential statistics, analysis of variance, factorial design, content analysis and interaction and relational analysis.
