EE 440 Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits
Select Term:
This course starts with the building blocks of mixed-signal integrated circuits, mostly data converters and frequency synthesizers: comparators, sampling circuits, amplifiers voltage controlled oscillators, charge pumps, phase-frequency detectors, etc. Then, it continues with an detailed overview of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). Students will learn about several ADC architectures and basic PLL architecture and design an ADC as a course project.
