Become a Peer Writing Fellow
What will you be responsible for?
You will provide one-to-one writing support for undergraduate students, supporting their academic and professional writing.
Who can apply?
All undergraduate students who…
- share an interest in academic writing
- like to assist their peers in providing consistent, honest and effective feedback on their writing
- have completed all of their freshman coursework
- submit a reference letter from an instructor in a course that has academic writing
- submit an academic writing sample from a course at SU of at least 1000 words
- have a GPA of a minimum of 2.75 as well as a 2.75 in their most recent semester
- submit their CV
What are the benefits of becoming a Peer Writing Fellow?

- get paid for up to 10 hrs/week
- receive professional training and support
- gain teaching experience and develop your communication and analytical skills to further prepare for future graduate studies or professional careers
