This is an introductory Spanish course focusing on the basics of conversation skills and related activities which are essential for effective interaction in class. It aims to help students to express themselves in topic areas such as introductions, getting to know others, talking about family, occupation, fields of interest and describing personal and physical characteristics at the Basic level. Students also work with a graded reader appropriate to their level. The course also looks at the state and significance of Spanish in the world.
