This course is designed as an introduction to the Kurdish language. It aims to help students develop the language and skills required for effective communication at the Basic level and raise their awareness of processes involved in learning to communicate. The students are provided with authentic tasks and a variety of materials which help them to learn and use Kurdish in daily interactions and also read and write in Kurdish. They also gain the awareness of multiplicity of varieties of the Kurdish language and are encouraged to learn differences between these varieties. They also learn and discover about the Kurdish language(s) and culture(s).
