This course will explore both the digitalization and transformation dimensions of Digital Transformation. It will introduce key technologies that drive digital transformation, including IoT, Cloud/Edge Computing, Blockchain, AI and GenAI, Smart and Collaborative Robots, A/V/M Reality, the Metaverse, and Additive Manufacturing. The course will cover the history, current state, and future trends of these technologies, along with real-world use cases, best practices in business and society, and their potential to create new business models. On the transformation side, the course will focus on strategies and methods for decision-making in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous digital landscape. It will also examine frameworks such as Design Thinking and The Lean Startup, which help entrepreneurs and innovation teams navigate uncertainty as they explore new opportunities.
