This course will introduce students to the rapidly developing field of emotion science. Students will learn about the biological function, neurology, and physiology of emotions in humans and other animals, and about strategies for measuring and classifying emotions. The course will also examine interactions between emotion and cognitive functions, and how these can be used to understand and treat mental illnesses.
