ECON 492 Seminar on the Turkish Economy
Select Term:
The course is designed as a seminar course that starts with identifying current structural and acute problems of the Turkish economy and asks questions to what extent these issues have historical roots. More specifically, the course intends to analyze economic and social policies, the underlying concerns and their consequences of those policies throughout the Republican era. The aim is to provide causal links between economic and social changes (either domestic or international), policies and outcomes from a critical and theoretical perspective, going beyond a historical and descriptive picture of the Turkish economy.
