Position Overview
The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at Sabanci University invites applications for a full-time faculty position at all-ranks in the areas of Advanced Manufacturing, to begin in Fall 2026. Areas of interest include -but not limited to- Digitalization and Data Driven Manufacturing, Applications of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing, Unconventional and Emerging Manufacturing Processes, Sustainable and Circular Manufacturing. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in research, teaching and graduate/undergraduate student supervision. Key Responsibilities
Teaching: The candidate is expected to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels (expected load is 3 courses/year) and supervise student projects and graduate theses.
Research: The candidate is expected to establish and execute an independent research program at Sabancı University, as well as receive external funding at both national and international levels.
Service: The candidate is expected to actively work in the committees to help improve the academic and administrative processes of the faculty and the university.
Qualifications
- The candidates must have earned a doctorate degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline;
- Have a track record of excellence in research and teaching (Senior candidates should demonstrate an excellent research record);
- Have ability to participate in multidisciplinary and/or transdisciplinary research teams addressing problems of high industrial and/or societal impact.
