This course provides an interdisciplinary examination of the ethical principles, governance frameworks, and regulatory approaches shaping the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) systems. It aims to equip students with the theoretical foundations and practical skills necessary to critically assess AI technologies from ethical, legal, and societal perspectives. Building on these foundations, the course examines global and regional AI regulatory frameworks and policy instruments. The course further integrates applied and research-oriented components, enabling students to engage with case studies, policy analysis, and real-world scenarios. By the end of the course, students will be able to critically analyze AI systems and policies, identify ethical risks, propose governance strategies, and contribute to the responsible design and deployment of AI technologies.
