Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign & Symposium

Sabancı University is coming together this October to raise awareness, promote early detection, and foster campus-wide solidarity for breast cancer awareness. Organized by the Sabancı University International Club (SUINT) in collaboration with Civic Involvement Projects (CIP), SU Gender, and Student Resources, this month-long initiative brings interactive installations, partner discounts, and a flagship academic symposium to our campus.

Key Campaign Highlights

Main Campus Symposium (Oct 27): Join us for our signature event bringing together university leadership, clinical specialists, faculty deans, high school leaders, and students.
- Online Keynote Address: Dr. Saima Haider (CENUM, Lahore-Pakistan) on global oncology awareness, preventive strategies, and public health leadership.
- Clinical Guest Address: Dr. Taner Kıvılcım (Breast Cancer Surgeon, Okan University Hospital) on early detection techniques, modern surgical care, and youth health literacy.
"Wall of Solidarity" Installations: Look out for interactive stations in faculty buildings across campus! Leave a note or encouraging message on our surface-safe electrostatic cling paper walls to show support for fighters, survivors, and families.
Cross-Campus Club Movement & Campus Partnering: Over 10 student clubs are incorporating awareness messaging and pink ribbon pins into their events leading up to the main symposium. Additionally, enjoy 15% OFF at Espressolab on campus throughout October as part of our campaign partnership.
