Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) is an independent policy research institute with global outreach. The mission of the Center is to foster academic research in social sciences and its application to policy making. IPC has expertise in a wide range of areas, including -but not exhaustive to- Turkey / EU / U.S. relations, education, climate change, current trends of political and social transformation in Turkey, as well as the impact of civil society and local governance on this metamorphosis.

The motivation behind the foundation of VERIM is to provide interdisciplinary solutions to address the needs of commercial and scientific challenges releavant to big data. VERIM’s vision is to conduct high quality, industrially relevant and impactful research in data analytics that will move the field forward. VERIM gathers all big data-related research under one roof, which help connect researchers from different disciplines on this subject and enhance cooperation among them. Verim finally seeks to advance and disseminate knowledge on data analytics and big data through seminars and publications.

Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF) at Sabanci University is established to serve as a bridge between academia, finance industry and real sector. We connect academicians, practitioners, and investment community and transform fundamental knowledge into applicable practices in real life.
CEF is established under Sabanci University which is an AACSB-accredited and internationally recognized institution that is recently placed among the top 13 universities in the world under 50 years old by Times Higher Education.

The center aims to address challenges in functional surfaces and interfaces through the usage of micron- and submicron sized systems exploiting the tools of medicine/molecular biology, material science, nano technology, nano/microfluidics and power generation.

The purpose of the Gender and Women's Studies Research and Application Center is to gather all the Sabancı University members who are interested in gender and women’s studies in a common platform of discussion and collaboration. The diverse research and activities being conducted in Sabancı University can thus be shared more extensively and can gain increased visibility. This forum is intended not only to promote the widespread recognition and increased effectiveness of existing research and activities, but also allows interdisciplinary collaboration, as well as the initiation and support of new projects in the gender and women’s studies fields.

SU-IMC is the industrial scale research and technology development center that provides laboratory test, prototype manufacturing, design and simulation services, composite materials in the scope of research and development services, and design, manufacturing, assembly and process prototyping services in the area of manufacturing technologies, also, provides consultancy and training services to governmental organizations and industry corporations.

Istanbul International Center for Energy and Climate (IICEC) is a future-oriented independent research and policy center designed to conduct objective, high-quality economic and policy studies in energy and climate. IICEC efforts will help the development of solutions to a sustainable energy future for the region and the world.

The Center is engaged in highly effective multidisciplinary research programs, bringing together researchers with expertise spanning advanced materials, nano-bio technology, nano-electronics, micro-nano fluidics, micro-nano-electromechanical systems and nano-engineering.
Forums

Corporate Governance Forum of Turkey (CGFT) has been founded on March 1st, 2003 as a joint initiative of Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TÜSİAD) and Sabancı University and undertook a work program as such until the end of 2004. Most important objective of the work program was to create awareness on the importance of Corporate Governance - an objective largely achieved thanks to the local and international developments, efforts of the Forum and restructuring reforms in the financial sector. Forum has acknowledged that the best way to contribute to the reform process was to focus on knowledge creation through scientific research. Today, CGFT continues its' work as an interdisciplinary academic initiative hosted by the Faculty of Management at Sabancı University.

TÜSİAD - Sabancı Üniversitesi Competitiveness Forum is a research center formed jointly by the Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSİAD) and Sabancı University in March 2003. The mission of the center is to help improve the competitiveness of the Turkish private sector in international markets by conducting and supporting research on competitiveness, innovation and technology management, and benchmarking.
