Full-time Faculty in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering (BIO-1-2023)

The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences is searching for dynamic, innovative and qualified scholars for full-time faculty positions at all ranks to commence in the 2024-2025 academic year for the Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering (MBGB) program. The candidate’s research focus and course offerings are expected to complement those of current faculty at the MBGB Program. We enthusiastically invite outstanding candidates with demonstrated expertise and specialization in a wide range of biological fields, including but not limited to: molecular biology, neurobiology, cancer research, stem cell research, computational biology, plant biology and genetics, immunology, developmental biology, structural biology, systems biology, biophysics, and bioengineering. 



The candidate is expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels (expected load is 3 courses/year) and supervise student projects and graduate theses. Other responsibilities include assessing and developing curriculum, as well as implementing creative teaching methodologies. 


The candidate is expected to develop a strong research agenda and supervise graduate students. Additionally, the candidate is expected to seek grants from national and international organizations to support this research agenda. The candidate is expected to establish an externally funded and internationally competitive research program. 


The candidate is expected to actively work in the committees to help improve the academic and administrative processes of the faculty and the university.


  • Possess an earned doctorate from an accredited institution in one or more of the above-mentioned fields 
  • Have a minimum of three years of postdoctoral experience 
  • Have a track record of excellence in research and teaching
