Abstract

 In this thesis, we study supercyclicity and recurrence of generalized weighted shifts.  We give some background supercyclicity and recurrence for classical weighted shifts.  We prove a characterizing condition for the supercyclicity of generalized weighted shifts with operator weights, which is a recently introduced family of operators, and we show that recurrence and hypercyclicity are equivalent for these shift operators.
