Special topics selected by the intructor from a list, including: The international trading system; the actual conduct of international trade, and the opportunities and constraints faced by developing countries; conditions and implications of participating in modern international markets; trade and captial account liberalization; the instruments and scope of trade policy and business strategy at the international level; the role of the IMF and the World Bank in developing economies; issues in Latin American and in Asian economic development.
