CONF 512 Research Methods 3 Credits
This course introduces research design and analysis and aims to expose them to ethical consideration in research and publishing. Students will learn techniques for gathering analysing and interpreting data. The techniques include laboratory and field experiments, simulation, surveys and sampling approaches, archival analysis, and ethnographic filed work. Both qualitative and quantitaive techniques are covered including an introduction to probability theory and statistical analysis. Students will also have experience with SPSS and qualitative computer programs.
