PROJ 102 Project Course is designed to introduce the student into the practice of project work, to challenge the student's creative and intellectual abilities, and to provide the student with an opportunity to function within a team. The student gets first hand experience in planning and implementing a project so as to meet a set due date for presenting the client with the deliverables expected. Timing of the activities and the allocation of resources to these activities are crucial decisions to be made by the team members.

CONTENT
OBJECTIVE
Introduce students the practice of an actual scientific project, challenge their creative and intellectual abilities and experience participating in a project team.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Students will learn to conduct a scientific project from scratch such as writing up project proposals, progress and final reports, presenting outcomes in poster and oral formats under supervision of a faculty member. Performing hands-on laboratory and field studies, learning to search for scientific references (web, books, periodicals etc.), publishing new findings in project reports will be the most relevant learning outcomes of this project course.
