CONTENT

VA section: Introduction to painting, sculpture and to basic notions of art making. Studio research into the numerous possibilities of various styles and approaches to visual art VCD section: Coverage of the basic concepts of Graphic Design, such as Typography, Page Layout and Image creation and processing and their basic interactions.

OBJECTIVE

The course will give the student the necessary knowhow and skills of different perspectives, light and shadow, building seeing with surface and lines in 2D and 3D.
wood shop machine use, canvas making and different technical use of materials.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Upon completion of this course students will be able to: - perspective notions - drawing "claire/obscure" -use of acrylic and oil painting -representation in 2D -wood shop use. -Transformation from 2D to 3D on surface. -Mesuring and scaling a space. -Buiding with lines in space.

5. Develop an awareness of compositional and organizational strategies for the effective deployment of formal elements of visual art. 5

6. Read visual texts with a deep knowledge of art history and theory and the ability of situating the content and form of the visual representation both in a historical and thematic context. 3

7. Employ necessary background knowledge regarding art administration in the body of museums and galleries. 2

8. Show a practical and technical command of materials and methods in one or more media of the visual arts. 5
