This course allows students to explore an area of academic interest not currently covered in regular course offerings. Under the supervision of a faculty member, students are expected to take responsibility for their own learning, including developing together a reading list and forms of evaluation. Students must receive the approval of a supervisor faculty member prior to enrollment.

CONTENT
OBJECTIVE
To introduce advanced art and design problems and methodologies which are crucial for creating visual response to these problems.The core question to be pursued is: What kind of art and design problems are we facing within our environment. How can these problems be qualitatively diagnosed in order to solve it visually as accurate as possible.
LEARNING OUTCOME
Students will be able to:
a) compare the historical, social and political origins of art and design
b) compare analog and digital art and design techniques
c) compare the use of analog, digital or the combination of the two media
