CONTENT

Students are expected to work on their own body of artistic works. Group and individual studio critiques throughout the semester will guide the student in his or her specific artistic approach. If the student is design oriented, a similar personalised understanding of combining and diversifying design components will be generated in projects focused on web design, digital video or more traditional design areas, such as editorial design.

OBJECTIVE

On completion of the course, students should be able to
a.) pace their creative process and the required design steps towards their individual work independently
b.) use the professional record keeping skills, such as individual sketchbooks and visual diary
c.) produce graduate level finalized and finished artworks/installations
d.) articulate and elaborate on own work as well as compare his/her artworks with other artists works

LEARNING OUTCOME

Understand different disciplines from natural and statistical sciences to social sciences and art, and develop interdisciplinary approachs in thinking and practice
Think critically, follow innovations and developments in science and technology, demonstrate personal and organizational entrepreneurship and engage in life-long learning in various subjects.
Demonstrate knowledge of representational processes using visual as well as audial material as mediums of representation
Show a practical and technical command of materials and methods in one or more media of the visual arts.
