CONTENT

This course will guide the participant to experiment with various drawing techniques, develop and try out self-created materials, paints and tools. This approach aims to help students to find out their individual processes and use of tools for artistic drawings

OBJECTIVE

This is an advanced drawing course to improve individual expression by studying in extremely individual way. Understanding what is individual creation, what is a plagiarism , what is the real artistic value will be basic in student works. This course intends to analyze the use of new drawing and painting techniques in the world of arts. Artists' making use of new sophisticated techniques for purposes of artistic research has increased and individualized methods of creations.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Upon the completion of this course, students are should be able to: 1. Draw or paint on canvas 2. Identify basic painting technology skills such as, fixing correctly canvas on the frame or the wall- gluing canvas surface by organic glues- making paint background using organic glue and resin-isolating the background using organic resin-using inks when transporting drawing to canvas-using acrylic paint as a first layer of the color- producing own oil colors- producing own tempera colors- producing own water colors- producing own varnishes 3. Identify artistic output of the drawing or painting on canvas-knowing how to use 1:1 scale sketch for the painting- 4. Use brush strokes or flat glossy surfaces when painting and contrast of hot and cold colors 5. Mix bright and dark colors when using oil and acrylic paint 6. Mix cyan, magenta , yellow and black colors to get every color from the palette when using acrylic colors and oil colors to make them darker in shadow 7. Interpret color observed from the nature- local or reflected colors 8. Analyze how the power and temperature of the colors are changing in dark or bright interiors and use paint to avoid unexpected sensations of the color on own painting 9. Improve self- judgment skills after intensive visits to museums and art galleries 10. Present the level of the academy of fine arts courses program which is often being accepted abroad as an equivalent to regular University courses

2. Demonstrate knowledge of representational processes using visual as well as audial material as mediums of representation. 4

4. Appreciate and express the cultural significance of art and understand its evolution and purposes. 5

5. Develop an awareness of compositional and organizational strategies for the effective deployment of formal elements of visual art. 5

6. Read visual texts with a deep knowledge of art history and theory and the ability of situating the content and form of the visual representation both in a historical and thematic context. 4

7. Employ necessary background knowledge regarding art administration in the body of museums and galleries. 4

8. Show a practical and technical command of materials and methods in one or more media of the visual arts. 5
