This course allows students to explore an area of academic interest not currently covered in regular course offerings. Under the supervision of a faculty member, students are expected to take responsibility for their own learning, including developing together a reading list and forms of evaluation. Students must receive the approval of a supervisor faculty member prior to enrollment.

CONTENT
OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this course is to encourage students do undertake a semester long research on a topic not covered in regular course offerings, under the supervision of a faculty member.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- On completion of the module, students should be able to a) pose an interesting question, b) write an extensive literature survey on the issue, c) form a simple model to explain the phenomenon in question, d) identify possible alternative solutions, e) present their conclusion to a group of faculty members and fellow students who may or may not be familiar with the issue at hand.

1. Understand the world, their country, their society, as well as themselves and have awareness of ethical problems, social rights, values and responsibility to the self and to others. 5
2. Understand different disciplines from natural and social sciences to mathematics and art, and develop interdisciplinary approaches in thinking and practice. 5
