CONTENT

VA section: Introduction to actual space of the artwork. The studio work will aim to provide access to a vast array of media and conceptual approaches to making and thinking about art. The faculty and students will jointly work on mixed media, installation, kinetics, electronic media and other contemporary practices. VCD section: An investigation into the implementation of design elements within design concepts; i.e. the creation of designs within conceptual frameworks through a broad focus towards multimedia and web design projects.

OBJECTIVE

Introduction to perspective notions with drawing and then to the third dimenssion with various exercises with divers material as paper, clay, wood, metal. A technical survey on sculture and installation problems. The main accent is given to the consideration of the space on the aim of realazing Sculptures and Installations.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • 1· Different perspective knowlegde, reading a painting 2· Use of acrylic and oil painting, color theory. 3· Use of wood-shop and doing a frame/canvas 4· Mesuring and scaling a space and what is represented 5· Transforming abstract forms from 3D to 2D representation 6· Transforming geometrical forms from 2D to 3D volume. 7· Assembling, balance, with lines in 3D space.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

5. Develop an awareness of compositional and organizational strategies for the effective deployment of formal elements of visual art. 5

6. Read visual texts with a deep knowledge of art history and theory and the ability of situating the content and form of the visual representation both in a historical and thematic context. 5

7. Employ necessary background knowledge regarding art administration in the body of museums and galleries. 1

8. Show a practical and technical command of materials and methods in one or more media of the visual arts. 5
