CONTENT

This course examines some major works of short fiction. While the course is intended to be a close reading of a number of short stories, we will also analyze and discuss the social and cultural commentaries which these literary pieces make. To this end we will pay close attention to the pieces as literary texts and get into sustained interpretations, nuances and subtleties.
