This course focuses on modeling and control of compliant motion systems, such as manipulators with flexible links, compliant (soft) actuators, or systems with compliant transmission mechanisms. We will begin with fundamental nonlinear system analysis tools and non-collocated actuator/sensor pairs, and then cover the most prominent control methodologies for such systems.
