CONTENT

The analysis of the world energy outlook in each coming year will be studied: Scope and methodology. Global energy trends this year. Natural gas market outlook. Coal market outlook. Power sector outlook. Renewable energy outlook. Energy efficiency outlook. Energy and competitiveness. Case study, e.g. Brazil. From oil resources to reserves. Prospects for oil supply. Prospects for oil demand. Implications for oil refining and trade.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Work with the analyses that WEO provides us with and understand how WEO contributes to the energy matters
  • Gain a greater understanding of the energy concerns of producer and consumer countries
  • Learn to analyze how countries shape their foreign policies with regard to energy matters
  • Examine shifting trends in the energy realm, with a major focus on the unconventional revolution
  • Have a comprehensive understanding about the future of energy and the climate change
  • Anticipate new patterns and structural shifts in the international environment in light of these trends
