Education: B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bosphorous University, 1994; M.Sc. and Ph.D in Electical and Computer Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh (USA), 1997, 2001, respectively.

Work Experience: Data Storage Systems Center, 1996-2001.

Areas of Interest: Signal processing and communications for data storage; wireless transmission technologies.  

   

OZGUR GURBUZ

Education: B.S. and M.S. in Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Middle East Technical University (METU), 1992 and 1995, respectively; M.S. and Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), 1996 and 2000, respectively.

Work Experience: Aselsan, Microwave System Technologies Group, 1992-1995; Lucent Technologies, Bell Laboratories, Network Wireless Group, 1997; Cisco Systems, Wireless Access and Wireless Networking Bussiness Units, 2000-2002.

Areas of Interest: Communication networks, wireless communications and wireless local area and wide area networks, multiple access techniques and Quality of Service (QoS). 

  

OZGUR ERCETIN

Education: Özgür Erçetin received his BS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey in 1995, and his MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park in 1998 and 2002, respectively.

Work Experience: University of Maryland College Park, MD; HRL Laboratories, Malibu, CA.

Areas of Interest: His research interests lie in the general field of communication networks. Specifically, he is interested in pricing of network resources, satellite and
terrestrial wireless networks, ad-hoc networking and control of stochastic systems.

Awards: Dr. Bülent Kerim Altay awards for academic excellence, Middle East Technical University; Graduate School Fellowship, University of Maryland, College Park.
