The Research and Graduate Policy Directorate (RGP) has been in charge of research management activities since 2001.
RGP has a unique structure that serves as a model for other universities in Turkey, and seeks to ensure the sustainability of research development by means of an institutional framework for research endeavors.
The components of RGP that are involved in setting strategic research objectives and implementing policies include the Research Process Planning and Policy Development Office (RPD), the Research Project Development Office (PDO), the Research Project Management Office (PMO), the Industry Cooperation and Technology Licensing Office (ILO) and Inovent A.Ş. & the Pre-incubation and Acceleration Services Center (SUCOOL) RGP supports research activities and innovative ventures on a central framework, helping to manage the research cooperation process with all internal and external stakeholders, and encouraging the conversion of scientific and technological developments to social and economic benefit.
The management of the research process at Sabancı University is further supported by the Research Committee (RC), the University Research Council (URC), Sabancı University Entrepreneurship Council (SU-GK), Research Ethics Committee (REC) and the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Task Force (IPETF).
