At Sabancı University, research management related activities are carried out by Research Planning and Policy Development Office (RPD), Research and Graduate Studies Directorate (RGP) and Inovent A.Ş. which are operating within the Office of Vice President for Research and Development. With this coordinated approach of RPD, RGP, and Inovent A.Ş., the research and development management process is carried out with a holistic approach.
Established in 2001, constituting a model for other universities in Turkey, RGP contributes to the management of the research in an institutional framework.
The components of RGP, the Research Project Development Office (PDO), the Research Project Management Office (PMO) and the Industrial Collaboration and Technology Licensing Office (ILO), take part in the transformation of scientific and technological developments into social and economic benefit by supporting research activities and innovative initiatives and helping to manage the research cooperation process with all internal and external stakeholders.
The management of the research process at Sabancı University is further supported by the Research Committee (RC), the University Research Council (URC), Research Ethics Committee (REC) and the Intellectual Property and Commercialization Commission (IPCC).
