This course will cover basic concepts of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems from a managerial point of view. The objectives of this course are to emphasize value of ERP systems and issues associated with selecting and implementing ERP systems. Other topics covered include evolution of ERP systems, their planning, design and implementation; and the relationships of ERP with supply chain, production, sales, marketing, accounting, finance and human resources. The course also includes exposure to commercially available ERP softwares.
