ECONOMICS - WITH MASTER'S DEGREE DOCTORAL PROGRAM FOR HOLDERS OF MASTERS'S DEGREE (PHDECON)

Connected in design with the Master's program in economics, the PhD program offers the student a solid training to attain scientific competence and conduct independent and original research, conforming with the highest international standards. Though the program is naturally academically oriented, its objectives include to equip the students who aim to serve as researcher in the public or private sector with advanced methods and ability to use leading-edge application techniques.

Must complete the preparatory courses assigned by the Graduate Admissions Committe. In addition, the students must

  • Complete the PhD Pro-Thesis Seminar course,
  • Succeed in the microeconomics and macroeconomics PhD qualification examinations,
  • Prepare and defend a PhD thesis proposal,
  • Successfully complete and defend a PhD thesis.
  • PhD students must write and present a research paper in a faculty seminar with the participation of thesis committee, faculty members and students before their thesis defense in order to meet the graduation requirement besides fulfilling other program requirements.
