CYBER SECURITY - WITH MASTER'S DEGREE DOCTORAL PROGRAM FOR HOLDERS OF MASTERS'S DEGREE (PHDCYSEC)

Situated at confluence of computer science, electrical engineering and mathematics, cyber security has emerged as an important discipline as the number and impact of cyber attack and crimes are in constant increase. The cyber security will remain as important for the foreseeable future. Among the current major topics of interest at Sabancı University are:

- Biometrics

- Blockchain

- Computer and network security

- Cryptography

- Cryptographic engineering

- Efficient and secure implementation of cryptographic algorithms in hardware and software

- Data security and privacy

- Software security

- Wireless System Security

Due to a decision of the Graduate Board (Board Meeting on the 11th of March, 2014), in order to be able to defend the thesis, the student should have at least one (1) journal articles satisfying the following:

- If the scientific outputs of a PhD study cannot be published due to trade secrets, patent application process, etc., the Institute Executive Board can waive this condition after consulting with the SUATT director on the nature and eligibility of such applications.

- The journal should be listed in SCI-E or Scopus journal lists.

- The article should have been accepted and this should be demonstrated by a letter from the advisor two weeks before thesis defense.
