Our PhD student Arzu Kıbrıs receives acceptance from Journal of Conflict Resolution
Our PhD student Arzu Kıbrıs's paper "Funerals and Elections: The Effects of Terrorism on Voting Behavior in Turkey" is accepted for publication in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, top in prestige among journals in the field of Political Science and International Relations, an item which would make an important contribution towards tenure in the best academic institutions worldwide.

Arzu Kıbrıs
Arzu has thought, designed and carried out the framework and fieldwork for this research almost entirely on her own. She has another paper in the revise and resubmit status at a very good journal, Public Choice. While Arzu is no doubt outstanding with her record among this generation of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) PhDs, she is accompanied in success by others, for example İpek Gürsel Tapkı (Economics PhD, with papers in Mathematical Social Sciences and Games and Economic Behavior).
I congratulate FASS faculty members who contributed to the formation of these talents, in particular Arzu's supervisor Meltem Müftüler Baç.
