First year University Courses in undergraduate programs equip students with interdisciplinary skills; second year Faculty Courses familiarize students with the degree programs of each Faculty. These introductory level courses provide a general understanding of the degree programs. This unique, two-year structure enables more mature decisions in major declaration.
The Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Bioengineering program has seven faculty members who conduct research on modern biological problems. We offer a curriculum designed to encompass three areas of biological investigation.
Computer Science and Engineering program addresses leading edge science and technology both with its wide curriculum and research expertise. Industrial Engineering program aims performing research and education activities in the area of production system design, control, and operation aimed at improving the competitiveness of the industrial firms.
Materials Science and Nanoengineering deals mainly with synthetic and biological polymers, ceramics and metals with applications such as bullet-proof glasses, fire-retardant plastics, superabsorbant materials, optical devices, electrical conductors, artificial skin and drug-delivery.
Mechatronics is a new approach in engineering design and production based on the integration of two of the classical engineering disciplines, namely mechanical and electrical engineering, along with computer science and especially software engineering.
